1. Late January - April: Perfect for Sightseeing and Festivals
As winter fades in late January, Ninh Binh welcomes spring with its fresh and gentle charm. The region adorns itself with a vibrant spring coat, offering visitors a chance to witness nature’s revival and immerse themselves in the flavors of the traditional Lunar New Year - a unique experience unmatched by any other season.
January and February mark a pleasant transitional period, as the weather still carries a hint of winter's chill but is warm enough for budding sprouts to stretch and bask in the spring sunshine.
However, from late February to early April, the North of Vietnam, including Ninh Binh, often experiences a characteristic weather phenomenon called “nom”, a damp and uncomfortable condition caused by high humidity. During this period, floors and walls become damp, which can affect outdoor tourism. This phenomenon occurs in episodes lasting from a few days to a week.
