How to check in online
At airport
Passengers travelling without checked baggage may go directly to the security area, then present their identity document and mobile boarding pass. This applies to flights departing from the following airports:
- Europe & Americas: All airports
- Oceania: Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Auckland, Brisbane
- China: Hong Kong, Taipei
- Southeast Asia: All airports in Vietnam, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Denpasar (Bali), Phuket, Chiang Mai
- East Asia: All airports in South Korea and Japan (except Kobe)
- Middle East: Dubai
Please refer to travel document for flights to Vietnam and for flights from Vietnam to other countries.
Passengers travelling with checked baggage are kindly requested to proceed to the airport check-in counter and present their identity document along with their mobile boarding pass to complete the baggage drop process.
Some notes when proceeding online check-in
The online check-in service is applied to all domestic and international airports operated by Vietnam Airlines Group (Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO), except for Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) in Moscow, Russia.
- The following passengers are kindly requested to check in at the counter instead of using online check-in (due to flight operation requirements):
- Passengers aged 60 and above who purchase tickets via the Vietnam Airlines website;
- Passengers requesting special services (excluding special meal service);
- Passengers traveling with children under the age of two;
- Passengers traveling on international flights with passports other than regular passports (for example, official passports, diplomatic passports, etc.);
- Passengers traveling on international flights who do not hold a ticket for the next flight segment or a valid return ticket, depending on the regulations of the destination country.
- For each online check-in made for group passengers, there is no limit on the number of passengers.
- If the passenger’s reservation record satisfies all of the above criteria but the passenger is still unable to check in online, please contact the ticketing office or call the hotline 1900 1100 for assistance.
- If you have checked in online to pre-reserve your seat and would like to change your flight plan, you can cancel your check-in at Manage Booking or contact our Customer Care Center at phone number 19001100 or email onlinesupport@vietnamairlines.com.

1. Actively exchange flights
- Remove check-in: Go to "Manage Booking” - "Post-sale help” - "Cancel check-in" on the Vietnam Airlines website.
- Exchange flights: Go to "Manage Booking" - "Post-sales help" - "Exchange flights" on the website or "Manage Booking" - "Ancillary services" - "Automatic ticket exchange" on the Vietnam Airlines app.
2. Contact the Contact Center at 1900 1100 (for calls within Vietnam) and +84 24 38320320 (for calls from outside Vietnam), or send an email to onlinesupport@vietnamairlines.com.
After having checked in online, please be aware of the following at the airport:
1. For domestic flights:
- If you do not have checked baggage, you can go directly to the security area.
- If you have checked baggage, you need to go to the baggage check-in counter or check-in counter for baggage check-in.
2. For international flights: Passengers show their boarding passes and other travel documents at the airport check-in counter.

You will not be able to do that. Check-in cancellation is only applicable for online check-in via the Vietnam Airlines website/app. Please contact the airport check-in counter for assistance.
You can check in using the following forms:
- Online check-in between 24 hours and 1 hour before departure on the Vietnam Airlines' website/app.
- Kiosk check-in between 24 hours and 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights; and between 24 hours and 60 minutes before departure for international flights.
- Counter check-in:
+ Check-in time for domestic flights at the airport counter is from 02 hours to 40 minutes before departure time.
+ Check-in time for international flights at the airport counter is from 03 hours to 50 minutes before departure time. For Vietnam Airlines flights at Kuala Lumpur Airport (KUL), Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), Frankfurt Airport (FRA), Heathrow Airport (LHR), and San Francisco Airport (SFO), check-in counters will close 60 minutes before departure time.
