The head of household has the right to use all the miles from the family account miles to redeem awards for themselves, for members of the family account, and for any award beneficiary according to the regulations of Lotusmiles Program tiers. In addition, the head of household can also use the family's bonus miles for conversion to miles/sectors for themselves.
Children who are between 2 and less than 16 years old are allowed to join the family account. In case the biological / adoptive parents have not joined the family account: Each person can register up to 5 children. In case the biological parents / adoptive parents have joined the family account: Only the head of household can register the children (Maximum of 5 children but the family account cannot exceed 10 people in total). After a successful registration and authentication by the Lotusmiles Program, a child member will officially become a member of the family account.

Members who are 18 years of age or older and do not participate in any other family accounts, will be invited to join with family members and set up a family account. The invited member will be the family account holder.
The head of household is only allowed to leave the family account after appointing another member as the new head of household with the consent of that member.
