Health Workshop on Stroke for Vietnam Airlines Employees

The workshop was led by Associate Professor, Dr. Đinh Thị Thu Hương – former Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Heart Institute. During the session, Vietnam Airlines employees gained access to advanced and up-to-date medical knowledge across the following topics:

Accurate understanding of stroke, cardiovascular diseases, and early warning signs;

Common misconceptions that may lead to serious cardiovascular strokes;

Proper response and handling when encountering a stroke situation.            

In addition to theoretical knowledge sharing, 254 VNA employees participated in thyroid ultrasound screenings and direct consultations with doctors. Among the screened participants, approximately 25% were found to have thyroid-related issues.

Special promotional packages offering up to 50% discounts were also made available exclusively for Vietnam Airlines employees who registered during the workshop. As a result, 22 customers signed up for the special packages, which included over 30 cancer screening packages designed for individuals and families.

Moreover, participants had the chance to win practical healthcare gifts through the Lucky Draw held after the workshop. Prizes included:

• 02 Grand Prizes: each consisting of one High-Tech Screening Package (NURA);
• 02 First Prizes: each consisting of one 10+ Cancer Screening Package;
• Along with many other valuable health-related gifts

Others added, “We now deeply understand the importance of maintaining good health to avoid unexpected incidents like the strokes Dr. Hương mentioned.”

These were the heartfelt reflections from VNA employees after the event. Many expressed the hope for more health-related workshops in the future, to better equip employees with essential knowledge — because truly, “those who take care of others also need to be cared for.”
