Hanoi, February 2, 2024 - Due to the impact of foggy weather conditions at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa), Vinh (Nghe An), and Phu Bai (Hue), to ensure safe operations, Vietnam Airlines has delayed the departure times by 2 to 6 hours for flights departing from and arriving at these airports in the early morning and morning of February 2, 2024.

Specifically, delayed flights include 8 flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh with flight numbers VN7000, VN7004, VN7006, VN7008, VN7012, VN7014, VN7016, and VN7264. Flight VN7278 from Ho Chi Minh City to Thanh Hoa, and VN7540 from Ho Chi Minh City to Hue have also experienced delays in departure times.

At Noi Bai Airport, many domestic and international flights arriving here have had to circle in the air or land at alternate airports in Hai Phong or Da Nang, awaiting better weather conditions for operations. Departing flights from Noi Bai have also been delayed to ensure safety.

Nearly 30 other domestic and international flights have been affected, resulting in schedule changes.

Previously, on the night and early morning of February 1, also due to dense fog at Tho Xuan and Vinh airports, 4 flights from Ho Chi Minh City to these destinations were delayed by 1 to nearly 5 hours.

Vietnam Airlines sorry for having to change operational plans due to weather conditions to ensure absolute safety and hopes for passengers' empathy in this situation.

Rainy and foggy weather conditions may persist at airports in the Northern and Central regions in the coming days. Passengers with travel needs to and from Northern provinces during this period should regularly monitor and update travel schedules and weather conditions.
