Kiss Bridge is a stunning architectural landmark located on the southwestern coast of Phu Quoc Island. Known for its unique design and romantic symbolism, it has quickly become a must-visit destination for couples and travelers alike. Surrounded by ocean views and sunsets, the bridge offers an unforgettable experience. Discover what makes Kiss Bridge a highlight of any Phu Quoc itinerary below.
Kiss Bridge is located on An Thoi Street, Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang Province, directly facing the Venice Clock Tower in Sunset Town. This area is known for its breathtaking sunsets and vibrant architecture, making it one of the island’s most attractive destinations for visitors.
Construction of the bridge began on 13 May 2021 and was completed in late 2022. It officially opened to the public on 22 December 2023. The project was brought to life by Italian architect Marco Casamonti, who is also known for designing iconic structures such as the Antinori Winery in Italy and the Air Albania Stadium.

Originally, the structure was intended to be a wave-blocking jetty. However, through Casamonti’s creative vision, it was transformed into a symbolic bridge representing love, friendship, and human connection. Instead of a continuous path, the bridge is split into two arcs that nearly meet in the middle, with only a 50cm gap remaining between them.
This open space was inspired by Michelangelo’s fresco The Creation of Adam, where two hands almost touch. The design allows couples to meet at the center with a kiss, a hug, or a handshake, symbolizing unity and emotional closeness. It also reflects a deeper message, in a world where digital connections grow stronger, physical and emotional presence remain irreplaceable.

Kiss Bridge is one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Phu Quoc, drawing visitors not only for its romantic symbolism but also for its impressive structure. Designed with elegance and intention, the bridge is located at one of the most stunning spots to watch the sunset in Vietnam.
The bridge features a cylindrical cantilever structure, with two separate spans stretching out into the sea but never fully touching. The total length is 810 meters, with a 50-centimeter gap between the two tips. This gap symbolizes the perfect emotional distance in a close relationship, intimate yet respectful. The bridge rests on angled pillars, engineered to withstand ocean waves up to 8 meters high, highlighting both its beauty and durability.

Its tips are covered with ultra-clear glass panels, which offer 96% transparency. This gives the surface an almost invisible appearance, especially under the sunlight. Along both sides, a dynamic LED lighting system adds a soft and magical glow to the structure at night.
Every year from December 24th to January 1st, the sun sets directly between the two bridge spans. This rare alignment creates a spectacular visual effect, known as “Wishing Day”, when couples come to make promises for lifelong happiness.
Kiss Bridge has quickly become one of Vietnam’s most photographed landmarks, appearing in international media like Travel And Leisure, which described it as a “picture-perfect bridge”, and La Stampa from Italy, which poetically compared the two bridge tips to “a pair of lovers leaning in for a kiss”. With its unique architectural concept and breathtaking sunset views, Kiss Bridge stands as a romantic and artistic masterpiece by the sea.
