Hanoi, October 17th 2016 – In light of recent incidents and concerns raised by Samsung about its Galaxy Note 7 devices and to ensure the safety of flights, from 17/10/2016, Vietnam Airlines BANS Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices (carry-on, checked baggage v.v..) on all flights.
Earlier, on September 11th 2016, Vietnam Airlines also announced NOT to carry checked baggages and stopped providing services for onboard battery charging for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 following the Directive 3729/CT -CHK dated September 9th 2016 of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV).
Currently, many other airlines in the world have also banned the carriage of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 including Singapore Airlines, Air Berlin, Virgin Australia, Qantas, Jetstar...
