Hanoi, May 16, 2019 – To meet increasing travel needs during summer peak, from 20 May 2019, Vietnam Airlines will launch SuperLite fares for passengers with no checked baggage travelling on routes between Vietnam and Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia. This special fare follows the increasing trend towards light and seamless travel. Vietnam Airlines will continue its existing promotions for checked baggage package.
Accordingly, passengers with no checked baggage can enjoy 50% off compared to normal fare of only VND 350,000 / round trip (excluding fees and surcharges) on flights to/from Southeast Asian countries. Passengers can enjoy one piece of carry-on baggage weighing up to 7 kg and inflight meal and may purchase additional pre-paid baggage package of Vietnam Airlines at least 6 hours prior to departure time or purchase directly at the airport.
Vietnam Airlines currently operates 14 flights per day between Vietnam and Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia with convenient flight times. Customers will also have the chance to indulge in the new-generation, wide-body aircraft Airbus A350 and B787 for their enhanced comfort.
The Superlite fare is the latest addition to Vietnam Airlines’ Branded Fares Matrix (BFM). According to BFM, Vietnam Airlines' Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class include two fare groups: Flex and Classic, in which Economy Class also includes Lite and SuperLite. Each price groups are tailored to suit customers’ needs.
