Standard excess baggage

Passengers can purchase a standard excess baggage piece of no more than 23kg and a total three-dimensional length of no more than 158cm for domestic and international itineraries. The following rates are VAT exclusive.

On Vietnam domestic routes

The rate for a standard excess baggage piece on Vietnam domestic itineraries: VND 600,000

On international routes

Countries in zones are as follows:

1. Zone A: Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Hong Kong and Macao.
2. Zone B: China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, India and other countries in Asia and Oceania (except for Zone A and Australia).
3. Zone C: France, Germany, UK, Russia, Australia, other European and African countries.
4. Zone D: Countries in the Americas.

Oversized piece

An oversized baggage piece has a total three-dimensional length between 158cm and 203cm. The following rates are VAT exclusive.

For tickets issued/exchanged before March 1, 2024, passengers should contact Vietnam Airlines' sales offices/agents to learn about the rates for oversized pieces on domestic and international itineraries.

With regards to tickets issued/exchanged from March 1, 2024

On domestic routes, the oversized baggage rate is VND 800,000 per piece.

On international routes, the oversized baggage rate is as follows:
