How to secure my fare on Vietnam Airlines' website

Step 1: Proceed to booking

Passengers visit the website vietnamairlines.com, on the home page, select "Book tickets" and perform normal booking operations:

  • At the “Book a flight” screen, select an appropriate itinerary and flight time;
  • At the “Choose Flights” screen, select a desired flight time and ticket class;
  • At the “Passenger Information” screen, check your information so that Vietnam Airlines can contact you and send an e-ticket;
  • At the “Ancillary services” screen, select desired ancillary services;
  • At the “Seat selection” screen, select desired seats or skip the screen;
Notes: Payment currency depends on the country/region which you selected. If you want to pay in another currency, please change the country/region in the toolbar at the top of the website homepage.

Step 2: Select “secure my fare”

At the “Payment” windows, “Secure my fare” section, passengers should select a suitable fare-secure duration and click “Select”.

Step 3: Pay the secure-my-fare fee

After selecting "secure my fare", passengers proceed to pay the fare-secure fee, check the amount, read the terms and conditions of ticket exchange/refund then click on the "Agree" box, then click "Purchase". 

After completing the transaction, passengers will receive a reservation code (PNR) and booking information via email. Please read the payment instructions sent to your registered email carefully. 

Notes:

  • The passenger's reservation code will be temporarily secured, and the passenger needs to complete payment for the flight ticket within the specified time.
  • Vietnam Airlines restricts duplicate reservations on the same flight. If there are duplicate reservations, Vietnam Airlines will retain only one reservation.

Step 4: Completing air ticket payment

At any time during the fare-secure duration, passengers can complete the payment for air tickets using one of the following methods:   

On the website, passengers visit the website vietnamairlines.com. At the “Manage Booking”, select “Reservation Code/Ticket Number”. After entering the Reservation Code (PNR) and Last Name, click “Search”, continue to select “Add Service”.

At the “Manage Booking” screen, “Pay for on-hold reservation code” section, select a payment method and proceed the payment

Payment via an app of a payment service partner:

  • Momo wallet: Select “Invoice” on Momo app and fill in the reservation code;
  • Internet Banking: Select “Invoice” on the bank app and fill in the reservation code; Please find the list of accepted banks here.

Pay via ATM of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam or Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam.

Cash payment:

  • At a counter of Sai Gon Joint Stock Commercial Bank, Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam, Co-operative Bank of Vietnam.
  • At a convenience store. Please find the list of convenience stores here.

After the payment is completed, a confirmation of the itinerary and flight ticket information will be sent to your registered email address. If you do not receive an email within one hour of the successful payment, please contact the online ticket help desk at the following address:
