How to secure my fare on Vietnam Airlines' app

Step 1: Proceed to booking

Passengers access the Vietnam Airlines app, on the home page, swipe up to open the bottom toolbar, select "Book Flights" and perform normal flight booking operations:

  • At the “Search Flights” screen, select an appropriate itinerary and flight time;
  • At the “Choose Flights” screen, select a desired flight time and ticket class;
  • At the “Passenger Information” screen, check your information so that Vietnam Airlines can contact you and send an e-ticket;
  • At the “Ancillary services” screen, select desired ancillary services;
  • At the “Seat” screen, select desired seats or skip the screen; After completing. Select “Purchase”.

Notes: Payment currency depends on the country/region which you selected. If you want to pay in another currency, swipe up to open the bottom toolbar, select “Setting”. At “Country/Region”, select the country with the desired payment currency.

Step 2: Select “secure my fare”

At the “Payment” windows, “Secure my fare” section, passengers should select a suitable fare-secure duration and click “Select”.

After selecting "secure my fare", passengers proceed to pay the fare-secure fee, check the amount, read the terms and conditions of ticket exchange/refund.

After the transaction is confirmed as completed, you will receive a reservation code (PNR) and booking information via email. Please read the payment instructions sent to your registered email carefully. 


Notes:
  • The passenger's reservation code will be temporarily secured, and the passenger needs to complete payment for the flight ticket within the specified time.
  • Vietnam Airlines restricts duplicate reservations on the same flight. If there are duplicate reservations, Vietnam Airlines will retain only one reservation.

Step 3: Completing air ticket payment

After the fare-secure period, passengers need to complete payment for air tickets by accessing Vietnam Airlines' website/app, payment service provider app, or paying in cash at the bank's counter/convenience store (refer to the "secure my fare" purchase guide on the website - Step 4 above).  On the Vietnam Airlines app, on the home page, swipe up to open the bottom toolbar, select “Manage booking”.

Passengers fill in the Reservation Code (PNR), Last Name and Email, then press “By PNR”. Continue to check flight details, passenger information and ancillary services. At the “Passenger” screen, passengers select a suitable payment method and proceed the payment.

After the payment is completed, a confirmation of the itinerary and flight ticket information will be sent to your registered email address. If you do not receive an email within one hour of the successful payment, please contact the online ticket help desk at the following address:
