Connecting services at Vientiane and Techo international airports

Applicable conditions

Connecting service at international airports applies to the Hanoi – Vientiane – Phnom Penh (Techo International Airport) – Ho Chi Minh City itinerary (and vice versa).

Service standard

At the departure airport

• Passengers receive 02 boarding passes for the Hanoi–Vientiane and Vientiane–Phnom Penh segments (at Techo International Airport).
• Check-in staff will affix a “Transit” label to the passenger’s clothing and hand baggage.
• The checked baggage is processed through to the final destination.

On board

At the transfer airports (Vientiane and Techo), Vietnam Airlines cabin crew will assist connecting passengers to disembark.

At the connecting airport

• Passengers will be directed to the connecting zone and onward flight departure gate. Please remember your next flight’s gate and departure time to make sure you arrive at the boarding gate by the designated time.
• Passengers are not required to collect checked baggage at the connecting airport.
