Food

  • Vietnam Airlines does not restrict foods (except for odorous foods). Food carried in carry-on/checked baggage should follow the regulations on weight, size and number of pieces of carry-on/checked baggage.
  • It is recommended that odorous foods should be put in checked baggage. Some other airlines shall not accept transporting odorous baggage. If your itinerary involves another airlines, you should check the carrier's regulations on odorous baggage.

Drinks

  • Vietnam Airlines does not restrict drinks (except for alcoholic foods). Drinks carried in carry-on/checked baggage should follow the regulations on weight, size and number of pieces of carry-on/checked baggage.
  • Alcoholic drinks carried in carry-on and checked baggage should satisfy the following regulations:
    1. Alcoholic drinks with no more than 24% of alcohol concentration: no restrictions.
    2. Drinks with an alcohol concentration from over 24% to 70% must be stored in the manufacturer's container, with seals and labels; the container does not exceed 5 liters, and each passenger shall carry no more than 5 liters (in both carry-on and checked baggage).
    3. Drinks with alcohol concentration above 70%: prohibited for transportation.

On international flights, passengers must follow Vietnam Airlines regulations (for alcoholic beverages, foods with the aforementioned aromas, raw animal meat, and raw animal meat products), as well as the authorities' requirements at the departure, connecting, and arrival locations. During specific periods, due to disease prevention requirements, passengers are requested to learn about quarantine regulations (if any) to prepare for a smooth journey.
