Update on Korean entry regulations
 

Vietnam Airlines would like to inform passengers about the Korea entry regulations from November 05, 2021:

Passengers given entry:

- Person with the following documents:

A-1: Diplomatic visa.

A-2: Official passport.

A-3: Military personnel serving in Korea.

Visa is longer than 90 days.

Korean nationals abroad.

Refugee passport.

People who left Korea before May 31, 2020.

- Foreigners who have been in Korea for a long time and are allowed to return when leaving after June 1, 2020.

- Particularly for flights from Vietnam to Korea except for VN416 (Hanoi to Incheon) on every Thursday, only the following passengers are allowed to enter:

+ People with Korean nationality.

+ F5 and F6 visa holders (Korean spouses and their children)

+ A1 and A2 visa holders (diplomatic visa) and their family.


- Note:

Short-term visas issued before April 5, 2020 will not be valid.

Flights must arrive at ICN between 05-20h.

Necessary documents:

- The original of negative test result for Covid-19 by PCR method, satisfying the following conditions:

Issued within 48 hours prior to departure.

Available in English or Korean.

In case the original copy of the negative test paper for SAR COVI2 by PCR method is written in Vietnamese, it must be translated and notarized by the Korea Embassy in Vietnam.

Electronic forms of certifications will not be accepted.

Not applicable to children under 6 years old, connecting passengers and people traveling on business or attending funerals with confirmation of isolation exemption.

- Passengers must install “Self-quarantine safety protection mobile app”: http://ncov.mohw.go.kr/shBoardView.do?brdId=2&brdGubun=23&ncvContSeq=1677

- Passengers must complete the Health Declaration Form and Travel Record Declaration and present it upon entry.

- Passengers fill in the information and sign the "Facility quarantine consent form" as attached.

Isolation rules:

- For Korean nationals and foreigners with long-term residence: 10-day quarantine at the place of residence.

- Foreigners with short-term stay: 10-day quarantine at their own expense. You can self-isolate if you have a kinship relationship with a Korean or a long-term resident foreigner.

- Koreans or foreigners returning to Korea after a long stay in another country: self-quarantine for 10 days after PCR testing at a community health facility in the area where you live.

For connecting passengers:

- The above provisions do not apply.

- Must prepare certificates for the next flight connected at ICN within 24 hours.

File attached.

- Foreign passengers will not be allowed to use public transportations to travel from the airport to the quarantine site. They must use their own vehicles or designated bus, train or taxi.
- Application period: from Thursday, January 20, 2022.

Transit information
- Passengers with a connection time less than 24 hours do not need to do the immigration procedures.
- Passengers need to present their baggage tags at the transit counter to get  support from the ground service staff .
