Redeeming miles for service upgrade is a dedicated program for Lotusmiles members. Members can use miles to upgrade to a higher service class (Business or Premium Economy) via three forms of mile-for-upgrade redemption:

• Redeeming miles for upgrade at www.vietnamairlines.com
• Redeeming miles for upgrade at Vietnam Airlines' sales offices or branches.
• Redeeming miles for upgrade using Cash & Miles method at the airport.

Who Can Redeem Miles for Seat Upgrades?

• All Lotusmiles members can redeem miles for upgrade for themselves.
• Biological parents/adoptive parents/legal guardians (family account owners) will get awards for accounts of under-16-year-old children.
• Million Milers, Platinum, Gold, and Titanium members can redeem for upgrades for their relatives.

Redeeming miles for upgrades at Vietnam Airlines' sales offices/branches applies to flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and codeshare flights numbered from VN2000 to VN2999 (all flights numbered VN). Applicable to tickets issued by Vietnam Airlines (Ticket numbers starting with 738....)

Redeeming miles for upgrades at the airport

• Member can submit a service upgrade request between 08 hours and 1 hour 15 minutes before departure.
• Applicable to flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and Vasco (with flight numbered VN). Applicable to tickets issued by Vietnam Airlines (Ticket numbers starting with 738....)
• Applicable at 3 airports: Noi Bai (Hanoi), Da Nang and Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City) on Vietnam domestic flights.
• Business Class baggage policy and Lotus Lounge access are not applicable/not included for upgraded tickets at the airport.

• Premium meals and complimentary beverages;
• Access to Business Class lounges at the airport (for Business Class upgrades);
• Priority check-in, baggage handling, security screening, and boarding (Comply with the service standards of the upgraded ticket);
• After the upgrade, the ticket will retain the original fare conditions, validity period, and mileage accrual policy.

Instructions to Redeem Miles for Seat Upgrades

Members can redeem miles for upgrades at www.vietnamairlines.com or by sending an email or contacting Vietnam Airlines branches/sales offices for direct assistance.

Instructions to Redeem Miles for Seat Upgrades at www.vietnamairlines.com (Online Self-Service)

Step 1: Log in to your Lotusmiles account at www.vietnamairlines.com

Step 2: Select Redeem Miles > Upgrade by Miles, then enter your booking reference (PNR) and passenger's last name

Step 3: Choose the flight segment, passenger name, and desired upgraded class

The upgrade ticket will be sent to the member's email.

Instructions to Redeem Miles for Seat Upgrades - via Email

Step 1: Submit Request

Members can send a Request for upgrade awards (with filled-in information) and a photo of their ID/passport to the email vip.lotusmiles@vietnamairlines.com (for Million Milers, Platinum, Gold members) or lotusmiles@vietnamairlines.com (for Titanium, Silver, registered members) to check the ticket conditions and seat status.

Step 2: Mile Deduction and Payment

If the upgrade is eligible, Vietnam Airlines will instruct you to pay the taxes and fees incurred, if any.

Step 3: Upgrade Confirmation

The upgrade ticket will be sent to the member's email.

Instructions to Request Seat Upgrades using Cash & Miles method - at Airports

Step 1: Before checking in for a flight, Lotusmiles members proceed to the Airport Ticket Counter to request an upgrade.

Step 2: Ticket office staff deducts the corresponding miles and collects cash.

Step 3: Members check-in at the Business Class counter, present the Upgrade Invoice and other documents as required. Please bring along the original ID/passport and Lotusmiles card.
