Regulations on the weight and size of a piece of checked baggage

No. Valuable items such as money, jewelry, cameras, camcorders, personal computers, mobile phones, and so on should be put in carry-on baggage, and should not be checked in to avoid damage or loss.
You can perform in the following ways:
1. Go to Manage Booking, enter the reservation code/ticket number and last name, or use the Baggage Tracking feature.
2. Ask the NEO virtual assistant with the keyword "Baggage", select "Checked Baggage" and "Free Baggage", and continue to select "Have a ticket" or "No ticket".

In addition to the ticketed baggage allowance, Lotusmiles and SkyTeam members benefit from checked baggage on Vietnam Airlines-operated flights:
- Silver members: no extra checked baggage allowance;
- Gold/Titanium members: free 01 more piece of the 23kg package;
- Million milers/Platinum members: free 2 more packages, each package weighs 23kg;
- Elite members: free 01 more piece of the 23kg package;
- Elite Plus members: free 2 more packages, each package weighs 23kg.
Children under 2 years old (lap children) are entitled to the following free baggage allowance:
- From/To the Americas: 1 piece, with a maximum weight of 23kg (total 3 dimensions do not exceed 115cm) and one foldable stroller.
- Other itineraries: 1 piece, with a maximum weight of 10kg (total 3 dimensions do not exceed 115cm) and one foldable stroller. Children under the age of two can bring a foldable stroller for free with tickets that do not have a free baggage allowance.
No. According to Vietnam Airlines regulations, free checked baggage is calculated per piece and must adhere to packaging specifications. If you wish to carry more pieces than the free baggage allowance, please purchase additional prepaid baggage here.
