In late July, the volunteer program "A Million Hearts – One Heart" brought medicine, scholarships, gifts, and the warm sentiments of VAECO staff to the people of Dak Phoi Commune, Dak Lak Province – a disadvantaged locality with a large population of ethnic minorities.
With the approval of the Board of Management of Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company (VAECO), the support and facilitation of leaders from Southern agencies and units, along with the partnership of co-organizing units, benefactors, officers, employees, workers, and Youth Union members across the entire system, the program implemented numerous practical activities such as free medical examinations and medicine distribution; awarding scholarships to studious underprivileged students; presenting gifts to policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged households, and Heroic Vietnamese Mothers; constructing a "National Flag Road," a children's playground, and organizing the "Meal of Love."
Thanks to the joint efforts of collectives, individuals, and benefactors, the program received 55,525,000 VND in contributions during its first phase. The funds were used for their intended purpose, openly and transparently, to implement local social welfare activities.
Beyond providing practical gifts and community projects, the program also created memorable moments with the local people and children in Dak Phoi. The smiles, glances, and joy throughout the journey became a beautiful mark of sharing and the sense of community responsibility embodied by VAECO staff.
Every contribution, regardless of form, contributes to the shared value of the program. From the partnership of the Board of Management, Southern agencies and units, co-organizers, and benefactors, to the officers, employees, workers, and Youth Union members across the entire company, "A Million Hearts – One Heart" has become a journey connecting hearts dedicated to the community.
The journey in Dak Phoi has come to a close, but the values created through sharing continue to endure. Every noble act, no matter how small, can help spread the spirit of compassion and offer added motivation to those still facing adversity.
