Redeem award tickets on Vietnam Airlines flights

Subject of application

• Lotusmiles members can redeem award tickets for themselves. 
  • Biological parents/adoptive parents/legal guardians (family account owners) will get awards for accounts of under-16-year-old children.
• Million milers, Platinum, Gold and Titanium members can redeem award tickets for people in the Redemption Nominee List.
• Million milers, Platinum, and Gold members can obtain award tickets for persons outside the Redemption Nominee List with a 20% additional mile deduction compared to the normal mile deduction.
• When redeeming miles for award tickets, a maximum of 6 passengers/on the same reservation code (excluding infants) is accepted.

• On flights operated by Vietnam Airlines;
• Or on flights operated by code-share partners with numbers from VN*2000 to VN*2999, and from VN*8000 to VN*8999.

Award ticket issuance period

Award tickets for flights operated by Vietnam Airlines need to be issued at least 6 hours before departure.

Validity of award tickets

An award ticket is valid for use within 12 months from the departure date of the first flight segment indicated on the ticket.

If the flight cannot be made, members should request a booking cancellation to avoid paying an additional Noshow charge. Noshow charges apply to passengers who cancel their bookings without prior notice to Vietnam Airlines; or passengers who request a reservation change (date/time, itinerary change, cancellation, etc.) within 03 hours before departure. No-show charges are applied on Vietnamese domestic flights as follows:

• VND 500,000/time applicable in Vietnam;
• USD 25/time applicable in foreign markets.

Obtain a peak period award ticket

Members can redeem miles for award tickets during the peak period with the mile payment higher than the normal period, please refer to the details as follows:
