Historic July – Beautiful Actions by the Youth of Vietnam Airlines

Continuing the journey, the youth union members organized a heritage pilgrimage program to the Lam Ha Relic Complex, which marks the heroic sacrifice of the 10 Lam Ha female militia members alongside several historical revolutionary sites in Ninh Binh province. The activity not only helped union members gain a deeper understanding of national history, but also contributed to fostering patriotism, fueling a sense of responsibility, and nurturing the awareness of continuing revolutionary traditions. 

The spirit of gratitude continued to spread at the Yen Vien Martyrs Cemetery in Hanoi through the "Green Sunday – Gratitude Sunday" program. More than 20 youth union members gathered to clean, care for, and beautify the cemetery grounds. From simple actions like sweeping pathways and trimming trees to taking care of each martyr's grave, every act conveyed deep gratitude toward the preceding generations who sacrificed for today's peace. 

Also at the Yen Vien Martyrs Cemetery, the Corporation's Youth Union presented two evaporative air-cooling fans to support memorial activities and welcome martyrs' relatives and citizens coming to offer incense. This is a small yet practical project, demonstrating the spirit of responsibility and sharing of Vietnam Airlines youth toward the community. 

On July 27, the Vietnam Airlines Corporation Youth Union actively participated in logistical support for the incense offering ceremony commemorating heroic martyrs on the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2026), in accordance with the Corporation's program. 

In response to the series of activities by the Corporation's Youth Union, the Regional Secretaries' Councils and grassroots Youth Union units across the entire system simultaneously organized numerous gratitude programs tailored to the specific characteristics of each unit.

In the Noi Bai region, the Regional Secretaries' Council coordinated with local grassroots Youth Union units to organize an incense offering ceremony at the Memorial for Heroic Martyrs of the 371st Air Division, visit and present gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, families of meritorious services, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers, while also participating in the Gratitude Candle Lighting Ceremony at the Noi Bai Commune Martyrs Cemetery. This series of activities became a meaningful political campaign, contributing to educating youth union members on patriotic traditions and inspiring national pride.

In the Da Nang region, the "Repaying Gratitude" program was organized at the Da Nang City Care Center for People with Meritorious Services with many practical activities, such as free medical examinations, medicine distribution, and donations of Vietnam Airlines blankets, cakes, milk, and meaningful gift packages. The meetings and historic stories shared across generations created a warm atmosphere, helping youth union members gain a deeper appreciation for the value of today's peace. 

In addition, the funds donated by Vietnam Airlines Corporation's officers and employees for the meaningful July activities were allocated to the Representative of the Standing Committee of the Corporation's Youth Union and the Da Nang Regional Secretaries' Council. Together, they organized a program and presented 49 meaningful gift packages worth 14,700,000 VND to wounded and sick soldiers currently under care at the Da Nang Care Center for People with Meritorious Services on July 24, 2026.

In the Southern region, the Representative of the Standing Committee of the Corporation's Youth Union and the Tan Son Nhat Regional Secretaries' Council organized a program to honor Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and delivered 30 gift packages to families of wounded soldiers and martyrs facing difficult circumstances in Ba Diem commune, Hoc Mon district, with a total value of nearly 40,000,000 VND.

In addition, grassroots Youth Union units actively implemented meaningful activities during the nation's historical July. At VIAGS, a series of tribute activities was deployed synchronously, ranging from incense offering ceremonies to commemorate heroic martyrs to programs visiting employees who are relatives of martyrs' families, as well as heritage pilgrimages for policy-beneficiary families. These deeply humane activities continue to affirm the beauty of corporate culture, the unit's care for its employees, and the social responsibility of Vietnam Airlines.

Meanwhile, VACS youth chose a heritage pilgrimage journey in Ho Chi Minh City, visiting sites rich in historical value such as the Tan Binh District Martyrs Memorial, Phu Tho Hoa Tunnels, Pho Binh Historical Relic, and the Ho Chi Minh Campaign Museum. At each stop, youth union members relived the nation's heroic historical pages, thereby nurturing revolutionary ideals, a spirit of dedication, and a sense of responsibility toward their work.

The series of activities in July was not only an occasion for Vietnam Airlines youth to express gratitude toward preceding generations, but also evidence of the pioneering, responsible, and humane spirit of youth union members across the entire system. Every gift presented, every project executed, every heritage pilgrimage, and every respectful stick of incense offered contributed to spreading the good values of Vietnam Airlines culture.

From these meaningful activities, the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" continues to be preserved and enriched through the concrete actions of today's young generation. This also serves as a driving force for Vietnam Airlines youth union members and young staff to continue promoting a pioneering and creative spirit, successfully completing their professional duties, and accompanying the Corporation on its journey of sustainable development and conquering new milestones.
