VNA contributes to bringing good values to the community

The signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between Hong Ngoc Hospital, Facing the World and the Royal Society of British Surgeons, at the same time awarded the Medal of Dedication to Vietnamese Medicine to Ms. Katrin Kandel - Executive Director of the Group Facing the World was witnessed by Deputy Minister of Health Prof. Tran Van Thuan and many diplomats.

The event marked the cooperation in surgical improvement, postgraduate training, training and clinical research between Vietnam and the UK. Opening up opportunities for doctors to improve their professional competence and access to the most modern surgical methods.

The cooperation with major medical organizations in the world, helps Vietnam's medicine develop, improve expertise to protect the health of the people. On the world health map, Vietnam has been and will contribute many new research achievements, modern medical techniques, and internationally qualified doctors.

In Vietnam, the number of children born with birth defects is determined to be 10 times higher than in other countries in the region. This is a consequence of Agent Orange during the war. Understanding that, VNA has joined hands with prestigious medical organizations to solve problems that are of concern to both domestic and foreign society.

Over the past 10 years, VNA has annually supported Facing The World's philanthropic activities in Vietnam in sponsoring airline tickets for medical professionals, contributing to Facing The World to bring smiles. and new life comes to tens of thousands of disadvantaged and unlucky children with disabilities.

In November 2022 and March 2023, VNA pioneered to launch the reward miles donation program "From Golden Lotus with Love". With impressive results, the total number of miles donated in two phases is 2.42 million miles within 52 hours and 17 minutes to move medical professionals to carry out a series of volunteer projects throughout the year, towards a worthy goal. It is respectfully that surgery for more than 180 cases of complex jaw - skull - face - eye diseases.
