Kiosk check-in

With kiosk check-in, passengers can actively select their seats, rapidly finish the self check-in process, and obtain their boarding pass there.

How to check-in

Passengers can find Vietnam Airlines' check-in kiosks at the departure terminal (near check-in counters area) or ask airport staffs for instructions at the terminal. Below are 5 steps to check in at the kiosk:

  • Step 1: Select the language;
  • Step 2: Enter the booking reference, e-ticket number, or frequent flyer number (if the passengers has provided the membership card number when booking);
  • Step 3: Select the passenger to be checked in;
  • Step 4: Choose a seat on flight;
  • Step 5: Print boarding pass.

Passengers without checked baggages can go directly to immigration/security area after self-checking in. Please check in at the airport's check-in counter or drop-off counter if you have checked baggage.

Check-in time

For domestic flights, kiosk check-in is available between 24 hours and 45 minutes prior to departure, and between 24 hours and 60 minutes prior to departure for international flights.

Passengers are advised to prepare and bring all necessary documents for the entire journey.

Some notes when proceeding check-in

  • Kiosk check-in do not apply to the following passengers:
      • ○ Passengers traveling with children under the age of two;
      ○ Passengers who are banned from flying or need to have their card authentication information checked;
      ○ Groups of more than 4 people for domestic flights or booking as group passengers for international flights;
      ○ Passengers requesting special services (except for special meal service);
    • The airports that accept kiosk check-in for flights operated by Vietnam Airlines Group (Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Vietnam Airlines) include:
        • ○ Vietnam
          ‣ Domestic flights: Cat Bi airport (Hai Phong), Cam Ranh airport (Nha Trang), Da Nang airport (Da Nang City), Noi Bai airport (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh City), Vinh airport (Vinh).
          ‣ International flights: Noi Bai airport (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh City).
        ○ Japan: Fukuoka airport (Fukuoka), Kansai airport (Osaka), Narita airport (Tokyo), Haneda airport (Tokyo).
        ○ Germany: Frankfurt airport (Frankfurt).
        ○ England: London Heathrow airport (London).
