Payment methods

Pay-later method

The pay-later payment method allows passengers to book seats in advance and pay later for the fares and additional services (except TripCARE Travel Insurance) without incurring a secure-my-fare fee. After successful booking, the payment for air tickets and additional services should be completed within the specified time frame.

Payment period

After successfully booking, the payment should be completed within the specified time frame: 

• Book at least 24 hours before departure: Payment should be made within 08 hours of booking and at least 24 hours before departure. Except for flights operated by Vietnam Air Service, passengers are required to pay within 01 hour after booking.
• Book within 24 hours before departure: Payment should be made within 01 hour of booking.

Payment instructions

In the case of payment via an account opened in the Russian Federation

Passengers can proceed with the following steps.

• Step 1: Purchase tickets and additional services on the Vietnam Airlines website/app at the points of sales in the Russian Federation (the country/territory is the Russian Federation). On the payment screen, select Pay Later;
• Step 2: When the booking payment is due, passengers shall scan the QR code via electronic payment applications or Internet Banking. Passengers' phones need to be connected to the Internet and registered for Internet Banking. Passengers find the "Scan QR code" function, point their phone camera to the code to be scanned, and enter the payment amount.
• Step 3: After successful payment, passengers shall send an email to onlinesupport.ru@vietnamairlines.com with the reservation code and a screenshot of the successful payment transaction.
• Step 4: The system will send a confirmation of the reservation code and electronic ticket to the email address registered at the time of purchase. If no email is received from Vietnam Airlines, passengers are kindly requested to contact onlinesupport.ru@vietnamairlines.com for assistance.

In the case of payment via an account opened in other countries

Passengers go to Manage Booking on the Vietnam Airlines website/app and enter the reservation code. In the Payment for reservation code section, select Pay now. Then, passengers shall select the appropriate method of payment to complete the transaction.

Payment using Cash & Miles

The payment method is exclusive to Vietnam Airlines' Lotusmiles members. Members can combine cash and accumulated miles to pay for air tickets when making transactions on the vietnamairlines.com website; or when buying tickets at Vietnam Airlines’s agents or ticket counters.
