Submit a ticket refund request to Vietnam Airlines

Passengers should note the information below when submitting a ticket refund request to Vietnam Airlines.

  • Use the ticket refund request form on the Vietnam Airlines website,
  • Applicable to the refund within 03 hours before departure and after departure.

Refund tickets via the Vietnam Airlines website/app

General conditions

Ticket return period: At least 03 hours before departure.

Refund time: Vietnam Airlines will refund the fare to the bank account that the passenger used to purchase the tickets within 15 business days of completing the ticket return procedures. Account credited time is determined by the card-issuing bank's regulations. To check refund information about your account’s refund, please contact the card-issuing bank directly.

After completing the flight ticket refund process on the Vietnam Airlines website/app, the system will email a ticket return confirmation to the registered email address.

  • For tickets paid at bank counters or convenience stores, passengers can return tickets at Vietnam Airlines' ticket offices in Vietnam.
  • For tickets paid by Konbini (in Japan) or Cash & Miles, passengers can send a ticket return request to onlinesupport@vietnamairlines.com.

Instructions for ticket return on the website

Passengers can refund tickets on the Vietnam Airlines website using the instructions below:

Step 1: Go to the website vietnamairlines.com. At the “Manage Booking”, select “Reservation Code/Ticket Number”. After entering the Reservation Code (PNR) and Last Name, click “Search”, and continue to select “Add Service”.

Step 2: On the “Manage Booking” screen, passengers scroll to the “Post-sales help” and select “Refund (cancel booking and refund)”.

The system will redirect to the Refund page. Here, passengers follow the steps as instructed.

Instructions for ticket refund on the app

Passengers can refund tickets on the Vietnam Airlines app using the instructions below:

Step 1: Open the Vietnam Airlines app. At the home page, passengers swipe up to open the bottom toolbar and select “Manage Booking”.

Step 2: At the "Manage Booking" screen, passengers enter the reservation code (PNR), last name, and email used to purchase the ticket, then select "By PNR".

After entering the information, passengers will be redirected to the Refund page to perform the steps as instructed.
