Workers' Month 2026: Accompanying employees, spreading sustainable values

In response to Workers' Month 2026, the Corporation's Trade Union has implemented many practical care activities for union members and employees across the entire system, highlighted by the program to support employees working in harsh hot weather conditions at Noi Bai, Da Nang, and Tan Son Nhat.

In order to spread the spirit of caring for employees throughout the Corporation, right from the beginning of April, the Corporation's Trade Union developed and issued Plan No. 296/CĐTCTHK-QHLĐ dated April 2, 2026 guiding subordinate trade unions to organize Workers' Month 2026 activities with the purpose of mobilizing all resources of the trade union and the employer to better care for the material and spiritual life of union members and employees.

One of the highlights, full of emotions and spreading sustainable values where employees are the center and the most valuable asset on the occasion of Workers' Month 2026, during 2 days May 7-8, 2026, the Corporation's Trade Union organized the Program to hand over support funding to employees working directly in harsh hot weather conditions at the aircraft apron, hangar area, and warehouses in 2026 with a total amount of 600 million VND from trade union funds in 3 regions: Noi Bai, Da Nang, and Tan Son Nhat.

Through the program, demonstrating the concern of the trade union organization in caring for and encouraging the health of employees, with the financial support to buy refreshing drinks during the hot season, the Corporation's Trade Union hopes that all union members and employees will together make efforts to well complete all assigned tasks.

On the occasion of Workers' Month 2026, the Corporation's Trade Union also coordinated to extract the charity fund to provide hardship allowances for union members and employees suffering from critical illnesses or facing difficult circumstances.

On May 8, the working delegation of the Corporation's Trade Union led by Comrade Dao Manh Kien – Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Corporation's Trade Union came to visit the health, grasp the family situation and life, and encourage employees to overcome difficulties, maintaining an optimistic and strong spirit to fight and win against diseases. Leaders of the Corporation's Trade Union requested Trade Unions at all levels to continue coordinating with the management to bring out the best care and support policies for employees who unfortunately suffer from critical illnesses and disadvantaged workers.

On this occasion, the Corporation's Trade Union handed over support money to Mr. Kim Trong Binh – a union member suffering from a critical illness currently working at VIAGS, and Ms. Nguyen Ha My – a union member suffering from a critical illness currently working at VASCO, with 30 million VND per person. This activity demonstrates the role of caring, sharing difficulties, helping employees feel secure in treatment and rise up in life.

Since the beginning of May, responding to Workers' Month 2026, subordinate trade unions have implemented many practical and meaningful activities for union members and employees. Many direct care models were organized such as "Summer cooling water counters" at the apron area, and "Trade union water counters" at the trade union corners of units. The trade unions also coordinated with the management to organize dialogues and collective bargaining to enhance benefits for employees.

In addition, the quality of shift meals continued to be improved. Units supplemented food portions for employees working overtime or working in heavy and hazardous environments. Periodic health check-ups and occupational disease examinations for union members and employees were also deployed synchronously.

At the same time, many health counseling, psychological counseling, and reproductive health care programs were organized to support employees both physically and mentally. Cultural, sports, and collective bonding activities also took place excitingly through Family Day, Cultural Day, along with many musical, fun, and entertainment programs. Propaganda content focused on family care skills, parenting, building a collective cultural life, and arousing the spirit of innovation, creativity, and dedication of union members and employees.

Grassroots trade unions proactively selected appropriate organization forms consistent with the actual conditions of each unit, contributing to spreading a positive atmosphere and bonding spirit throughout the Corporation.

Practical activities during Workers' Month 2026 continue to affirm the accompanying role of the Corporation's Trade Union in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and employees. This is not only timely sharing but also contributes to fostering trust, cohesion, and the spirit of dedication of employees towards the "common home" Vietnam Airlines.
