Instructions for booking the unaccompanied minor service

Unaccompanied Minor Service is for children aged between 2 and 14 who need to take a flight without an accompanying adult.

No. Unaccompanied minor service is only applicable to flights operated by Vietnam Airlines.

1. An infant under the age of 2 who does not have a seat is charged 10% of the adult passenger's fare.

2. Children between the ages of 2 and 12:

• On Vietnam domestic itineraries: Equal 90% of the adult fare;
• On international itineraries: Equal 75% of the adult fare.

3. For children 12 years and older, apply adult fare.

Parents/guardians should prepare:

• Travel documents;
• Proof of relationship;
• Baggage information form for unaccompanied minors.

1. At the departure airport

• A parent/guardian/authorized person and the minor must be present at the airport at least two hours before the scheduled departure time;
• Carry the child's travel documents, proof of relationship with the child, and a baggage information form for unaccompanied minors;
• After completing all flight procedures for the minor, the parent/guardian/authorized person can leave the airport when the plane takes off.

2. At the arrival airport

• The person picking up the child must be at the airport at least 30 minutes before the scheduled landing time.
• The person who picks up the child must present a complete identification document. The information on the document must match the information used to register for the service.
