A Journey of Love: Supporting Pediatric Cancer Patients at Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital
As part of a series of charitable activities launched by the Women's Committee of the Vietnam Airlines Trade Union under the program “Vietnam Airlines Women Send Love” across three regions, on January 19, 2024, the Women's Committee of the Central Region Emulation Cluster organized a delegation to visit and present gifts to children battling cancer at the Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.
Especially this year, following the 2023–2028 General Trade Union Congress, the first charitable trip of 2024 by the Women's Committee of the Central Region Emulation Cluster saw the participation and support of Ms. Le Hong Anh – Vice President and Head of the Women's Committee of the General Trade Union. The trip also received cooperation and support from member units within the Cluster in mobilizing donations and preparing small tokens of love and joy for young cancer patients.
Thanks to the compassion of leaders at all levels, the contributions of brothers and sisters from units within the Central Region Emulation Cluster, and the support of the Social Work Department of Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, the Women's Committee prepared 65 gift sets. Each set included confectionery, cash, and a lovely red envelope (lì xì), with a total value exceeding 70 million VND, directly presented to the children and their families to help with hospital fees and daily expenses during their battle against serious illnesses under difficult circumstances.

Besides striving to meet production and business targets, units within the Central Region Emulation Cluster annually organize charitable activities to support those in need.

Although the material value of the gifts was not great, they embodied the profound love and care of all members, with the hope of giving the patients more faith and strength to overcome their illnesses.

These humanitarian actions represent a hallmark of the culture of the Central Region Emulation Cluster in particular and the General Corporation as a whole. Community-oriented activities like these will certainly continue to be expanded in the future.
