December, 2017: Welcomed the 200 millionth passenger after 20 years of operation and reached 1.5 million Golden Lotus members.
July, 2018: Awarded the Skytrax certificate for the 3rd time in a row as a 4-star international airline (2016,2017,2018).
November, 2018: Welcomed the first Airbus A321neo; transferred the State representative rights from the Ministry of Transport to the State Capital Management Committee.
May, 2019: Listed shares and traded on (Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange) HOSE.
August, 2019: Received the first Boeing B787-10 Dreamliner - Boeing's largest wide-body aircraft in the world.
July, 2020: Awarded the highest level 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating from Skytrax, a global benchmark for COVID-19 safe air travel.
November, 2021: Launched scheduled direct flights between Vietnam and the US.
November, 2022: The 8th National Award Council for External Information awarded the second prize for the flight safety instruction film "Am vang dong dieu" and the Consolation prize for the MV "Nhanh len nhe" of Vietnam Airlines in the video category.
December, 2022: Launched the Million Miler programme with exclusive service improvements to honor premium members.
