Vietnam Airlines and Viet Harvest: Joining Hands to Spread Humanity and Kindness

As of June 30, 2025, the program has recorded nearly 91,000 donated food items, equivalent to 1.82 tons of goods, with an estimated total value of approximately VND 350 million. All food items that remain within their expiration date after each flight are carefully inspected for quality before being handed over to Viet Harvest, which is responsible for distributing them to shelters, charitable organizations, and underprivileged communities across the country.

The collaboration with Viet Harvest not only helps reduce food waste in flight operations but also demonstrates Vietnam Airlines’ social responsibility in promoting a circular economy and realizing the sustainable development goals of the aviation industry. This partnership is also one of the key initiatives within the corporation’s CSR strategy being actively implemented throughout 2025.

In the coming time, the Corporate Communications Department will continue to work closely with the airline’s operational and service units, as well as with Viet Harvest, to expand the program’s scope, enhance its effectiveness, and ensure safety, compliance, and meaningful impact for the community. “Every small action today contributes to greater change for the future” — this is not only the message of the program but also the guiding principle in Vietnam Airlines’ journey toward a more humane and sustainable planet.
