Vietnam Airlines accepts a variety of payment methods for passengers purchasing air tickets and ancillary services online. The payment currency will be displayed according to the selected country/region when accessing Vietnam Airlines' website/app (point of sales). Passengers should be aware that when paying for air tickets using the following payment methods, the ticket price and reservation will not be secured until the payment is completed.
International payment card
Vietnam Airlines accepts payment by international credit or debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, UATP and JCB. This method of payment is accepted for ticket purchases on Vietnam Airlines' website/app at all purchase points. Cardholders can pay for themselves or others.
Passenger flight ticket payments are made via secure payment gate and Vietnam Airlines does not store any information from the passenger's card.
Vietnam Airlines is completely not responsible for any additional fees incurred by the issuing bank in connection with the use of the card to purchase flight tickets on the Vietnam Airlines website. Please contact the card issuer for more details on charges incurred.
Notes: Vietnam Airlines does not accept virtual cards or single-use cards; and reserves the right to refuse to provide services if a customer uses these cards.
Domestic card/ATM card/NAPAS port
Vietnam Airlines accepts air ticket payments using domestic cards (ATM cards) of 34 Vietnamese banks on Vietnam Airlines' website with points of purchase in Vietnam. Passengers will be redirected to the pay page of the NAPAS portal. It's a payment gateway that connects banks, enabling quick transactions through a common payment gateway.
Notes: To make a payment in this form, passengers need to apply for online banking with the card issuer. If the transaction is over VND 200,000,000, please select another form of payment.
E-wallets are financial applications that serve as a payment gateway, allowing passengers to deposit, transfer, and withdraw money, as well as make transactions and payments swiftly, conveniently, and securely.
Notes: The e-wallet option will not be displayed if passengers access the Vietnam Airlines website using a mobile phone to purchase tickets and ancillary services.
Momo Wallet
Passengers need to install the MoMo Wallet app on their phones to pay for air tickets and ancillary services of Vietnam Airlines. For a transaction of over VND 50,000,000, please select another method of payment.
Vietnam Airlines accepts payment via Momo Wallet for ticket purchases on the Vietnam Airlines website/app (Vietnam ticket outlets).
ShopeePay Wallet
Passengers install the ShopeePay Wallet app on their phones to pay for air tickets and ancillary services. Vietnam Airlines accepts payment via ShopeePay Wallet for ticket purchases on the Vietnam Airlines website/app (Vietnam ticket outlets).
Passengers pay for tickets and other services by scanning the VNPAY QR code with electronic payment apps or Internet Banking. Passengers' phones need to be connected to the Internet and registered for Internet Banking. Passengers find the "Scan QR code" function, point their phone camera to the code to be scanned, and enter the payment amount.
Vietnam Airlines only accepts payment via VNPAY for ticket purchases on the Vietnam Airlines website and app with Vietnam ticket outlets.
Payment using UnionPay cards
UnionPay is an international payment card accepted in over 150 countries around the world. In Vietnam, affiliated banks issue UnionPay cards to customers.
Vietnam Airlines accepts payment via UnionPay for ticket and ancillary service purchases at the Vietnam Airlines website/app at all ticket outlets.
Payment using Alipay Wallet (China)
Passengers having bank accounts opened in China can pay for air tickets via Alipay Wallet. When selecting this payment method, passengers will be redirected to the Alipay website or application to make the transaction.
Alipay is accepted for ticket and ancillary service purchases on the Vietnam Airlines website/app at all ticket outlets except those in Vietnam, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Russia, Denmark, and Norway.
Payment using WeChat Pay (China)
WeChat Pay is a payment function built into WeChat, a popular social network in China. Passengers can pay for tickets and ancillary services on Vietnam Airlines' website using WeChat Pay, except those in Vietnam, India, Macau, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Russia, Denmark, Norway, and Switzerland.
Payment at Konbini (Japan)
Konbini is a major convenience store chain in Japan. Passengers can book air tickets on the website vietnamairlines.com, then secure the seats within 24 hours and pay via Konbini chains, including 7-Eleven, Lawson, Ministop, FamilyMart, and Seicomart.
Vietnam Airlines only accepts payment at Konbini for ticket purchases on the Vietnam Airlines website with Japan ticket outlets.
Payment using KCP cards (South Korea)
KCP is a South Korean domestic card. Passengers pay for tickets and ancillary services purchased on the Vietnam Airlines website/app using KCP cards at South Korean ticket outlets.
Payment using Sofort Banking (Europe)
Sofort Banking is a payment method by bank transfer. Passengers in some European countries can use this form to pay for tickets and ancillary services purchased on the Vietnam Airlines website with ticket outlets in Germany, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, Austria, and Switzerland.
Payment using PayPal (International)
PayPal is one of the world's largest online payment gateways, serving as an electronic wallet that allows passengers to transfer money and make international payments.
When buying air tickets at Vietnam ticket outlets and selecting the Post-payment method or “Secure my fare”, passengers can pay in installments by credit card via the NganLuong payment gateway (applicable to transactions of over VND 3,000,000 VND).
To make a payment, passengers go to “Manage Booking" on the Vietnam Airlines’ website/app.
The pay-later method allows passengers to book seats in advance and pay later for the fares and ancillary services (except TripCARE Travel Insurance) without incurring a secure-my-fare fee. After successfully booking, the payment should be completed within the specified time frame.
For post-payment transactions of over VND 200,000,000, please pay at a bank counter, ATM, or convenience store.
Vietnam Airlines accepts the post-payment method for tickets and ancillary services (except TripCARE Travel Insurance) purchased on the Vietnam Airlines website/app with all ticket outlets.
How to pay later
• Go to “Manage Booking" - “Pay for reservation code” on the Vietnam Airlines’ website/app; • Access banks’ Internet Banking; • Pay at ATMs of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam or Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam; • Pay in cash at the transaction counters of banks (including Sai Gon Joint Stock Commercial Bank, Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam, and The Co-Operative Bank of Vietnam) and convenience stores. Period for pay later: After successfully booking, the payment should be completed within the time frame as follows:
The payment method is exclusive to Vietnam Airlines' Lotusmiles members. Members can combine cash and accumulated miles to pay for air tickets when making transactions on the website vietnamairlines.com; or when buying tickets at Vietnam Airlines’s agents or ticket counters.

Passengers are required to have adequate travel documents for all flights on all concerned airlines and to abide by national laws and regulations. Vietnam Airlines does not take responsible if passengers are denied entry into any country.
