Vietnam Airlines today announced that, in accordance with the directive of the Cambodian civil aviation authorities to transition all operations from Phnom Penh International Airport (IATA: PNH) to Techo International Airport (IATA: KTI), the airline’s flights to and from Phnom Penh will officially operate from Techo International Airport starting at 00:01 on September 9, 2025.

Techo International Airport, rated 4F by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), is located south of Phnom Penh, more than 20 kilometers from the city center, with an estimated travel time of approximately 40 minutes by road. The new airport is situated about 30 kilometers from the former airport, with a travel time of around 50 minutes between the two.

As services move to the new airport, Vietnam Airlines strongly advises passengers to verify their departure and arrival airport details when booking and issuing tickets. To ensure a smooth journey, passengers are encouraged to arrive at the airport at least three hours before international departures and to stay updated with the airline’s latest announcements.

Vietnam Airlines will automatically update the airport code from PNH to KTI on all tickets issued under its ticket stock (starting with “738”) before September 9, 2025, while keeping the original flight numbers unchanged. For passengers wishing to change to a different itinerary, the airline will provide ticket change support in accordance with its regulations.
