Hanoi, May 14, 2025 - Starting May 17, 2025, all Vietnam Airlines’ operations for domestic flights will be officially relocated to the new Terminal 3 (T3) at Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.
Exceptions include flights to Con Dao, Rach Gia, and Ca Mau, which will continue to depart from Terminal 1 (T1). Additionally, all services operated by Pacific Airlines and VASCO will remain at T1.
This transition follows the successful relocation of the Ho Chi Minh City–Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City–Van Don flights to T3 on April 17. Over the past month, Vietnam Airlines has operated over 1,400 flights, serving nearly 400,000 passengers from the new terminal - a testament to the effective coordination between Vietnam Airlines, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), and other airport partners.
To support this expansion, Vietnam Airlines has established check-in counters ranging from 56 to 109, along with 22 self-service kiosks at T3. Additional staffing has also been deployed to ensure a smooth and efficient transition for travelers.
T3 offers a wide array of modern technologies and passenger services, including self check-in kiosks, self-service bag drop kiosks, biometric identification via the VNeID app.
These features are designed to enhance travel convenience, reduce waiting times and eliminate the need for printed documents.
To ensure a smooth experience, passengers are advised to check terminal details printed on their tickets, familiarize themselves with the T3 layout, use check-in online via the Vietnam Airlines website or mobile app and arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to departure.
The full relocation to Terminal 3 reflects Vietnam Airlines’ ongoing commitment to improving service quality and operational efficiency, while contributing to the development of Tan Son Nhat Airport as a premier aviation hub in Asia. For more information, please visit: www.vietnamairlines.com
