Hanoi, April 26, 2025 – To enhance convenience and optimize the passenger experience, Vietnam Airlines will adjust its plan to transfer all domestic flights to Tan Son Nhat Terminal 3, instead of implementing it from April 28 as previously announced. Based on a review of actual operations, Vietnam Airlines will coordinate with relevant authorities to determine the appropriate implementation time and will promptly update passengers with official information.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines is operating flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Van Don from Terminal 3. Other domestic flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, along with flights operated by Pacific Airlines and VASCO, will continue to operate from Terminal 1 until further notice.
Since the initial transfer of flights to Terminal 3, Vietnam Airlines' operations have received close and effective support from Airports Corporation of Vietnam and other relevant authorities, contributing to convenient journeys and a seamless service experience for passengers. As of April 26, Vietnam Airlines has safely operated over 390 flights and served more than 100,000 passengers at Terminal 3, affirming its synchronized and professional operational capacity from the very first days of operation.
Operational plans at Terminal 3 have been proactively developed and carefully prepared by Vietnam Airlines and relevant authorities, incorporating multiple flexible scenarios to adapt to actual conditions during the initial phase. The adjustment of the timeline for transferring all domestic flights demonstrates the airline’s proactive approach, aiming to ensure an optimized passenger experience and effective synchronization among operating entities at Terminal 3.
Previously, on April 19, Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport was officially inaugurated and put into operation. The terminal is a large, modern passenger facility with a designed capacity of 20 million domestic passengers per year. It is equipped with a synchronized infrastructure system, advanced technology, and spacious, airy interiors to provide passengers with a convenient, fast, and comfortable experience. The operation of Terminal 3 has significantly contributed to enhancing the service capacity and quality at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
