Starting from 15 February, Vietnam Airlines will officially put wide-body aircraft into operation with a frequency of one flight every two hours on the route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Passengers will now have the opportunity to enjoy flying aboard the Airbus A350, the Boeing 787-9, and especially the Boeing 787-10 – which currently is the largest model in Vietnam.
Vietnam Airlines’ wide-body fleet consists of the more spacious “super aircraft,” which can accommodate an average of 300 passengers per flight. These planes come equipped with engine systems that reduce noise by fifty percent compared to the previous generation of aircraft. Other features highly-appreciated by passengers include Business Class seats, which can be adjusted into full-flat beds, additional amenities like personal entertainment screens, USB charging outlets attached to the seats, larger luggage compartments and windows, etc.
Additionally, passengers also have the chance to enjoy other attractive benefits if choosing the Premium Economy Class on applicable flights. Specifically, Premium Economy Class passengers are eligible to enjoy services otherwise only available for Business Class travelers, such as access to the Lotus Lounge, priority check-in, priority boarding via exclusive lanes or buses.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific) is operating nearly 40 flights per day on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route with a frequency of one flight every thirty minutes to one hour. All flights depart on the hour from 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. To add speed and convenience to the check-in process, priority check-in counters and boarding gates are established.
With the increase in the operating frequency of wide-body aircraft on the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City route – the busiest air route of the country – Vietnam Airlines is further perfecting its flexible flight experience and maximizing the convenience for passengers.
