Hanoi, April 10th, 2018 – Vietnam Airlines has been recognised as one of winners of the 2018 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards for Airlines for Asia in a TripAdvisor's announcement on April 9th, 2018.
Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of airline reviews and ratings submitted by travellers worldwide, over a 12-month period on TripAdvisor Flights.
The Asia list of winners this year also includes other airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, Eva Air, Korean Air and Cathay Pacific, amongst others.
Launched in 2016, the Airline Reviews category for TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards has generated great interest among the travel community. Currently, TripAdvisor has more than 900,000 reviews for more than 550 airlines around the world. In particular, Vietnam Airlines received nearly 4,000 reviews in 26 different languages.
Mr. Bryan Saltzburg, senior vice president and general manager for TripAdvisor Flights, said: “We’re thrilled to recognize the global TripAdvisor community’s favorite airlines and shine a spotlight on the carriers around the world that provide the very best flying experiences. As the airline industry introduces new fare products and a widening array of in-flight offerings, consumers continue to seek out the carriers that deliver value and a quality experience. The Travelers’ Choice awards for airlines recognize the carriers that exceed passenger expectations and receive top marks from travelers.”
According to TripAdvisor reviews, many customers complimented Vietnam Airlines on its “great service”, “good food”, outstanding service in terms of staff quality, onboard meals, priority boarding and luggage collection. Moreover, the most modern new-generation aircraft have given more leg rooms and big seats, offering the most comfortable journeys.
With a widespread flight network featuring more than 90 routes to destinations in Vietnam and around the world, Vietnam Airlines is one of the major airlines of Vietnam and the region. Vietnam Airlines now owns a fleet of nearly 100 aircraft, many of them are the latest wide-body aircraft like Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A350, bringing exceptional comfort to customers. Vietnam Airlines’ service quality was rated 4 stars by SkyTrax – a prestigious airline rating organization of the UK – for two consecutive years. The airline is also highly evaluated by international passengers for cultural identity shown in each flight. It was named the World’s Leading Cultural Airline by the World Travel Awards in 2017.
