Hanoi, October 1, 2017, Vietnam Airlines (VNA) and All Nippon Airways (ANA) are pleased to introduce “Hi Japan!” – a special promotion that provides four days of free Wi-Fi service with unlimited data capacity to passengers travelling from Vietnam to Japan in the period between October 1, 2017 and February 28, 2018, plus a lucky draw for the program’s registered participants.

Thanks to “Hi Japan!”, now all passengers will be able to enjoy high-speed 4G/LTE internet connection via a mobile pocket Wi-Fi router provided by NINJA. Additionally, unlimited data capacity and the ability to connect multiple devices makes Wi-Fi router an ideal alternative to other options, including costly data roaming, data-limited prepaid SIM cards and rare public Wi-Fi hotspots.

Mr. Trinh Ngoc Thanh, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines said: “This is the first time Vietnam Airlines and our strategic partner All Nippon Airways launch a joint promotion to bring increased convenience and extra benefits to our passengers travelling between Vietnam and Japan. With “Hi Japan!”, we hope that our passengers will better stay connected and to share their best moments in Japan – an amazing and beautiful destination. We see this as a way to say ‘thank-you’ to our passengers, and a symbol of our commitment to make travel experience as exciting, enjoyable and satisfying as possible.”

Mr Masazumi Sugi, General Director, ANA Vietnam said: “We are very glad to announce this campaign with Vietnam Airlines. I believe that Vietnam Airlines and ANA are able to make customers’ trips more enjoyable and memorable with free Wi-Fi service in Japan. I am expecting that Vietnamese will visit Japan more and we, ANA and VNA, can contribute to tighten the relationship between Vietnam and Japan with this campaign as a trigger.”

In order to take part in the free Wi-Fi promotion, passengers are required to register at the official event website www.ana-vna.com. After arriving in Japan, passengers will pick-up a Wi-Fi router at the airport and return it before leaving Japan. Customers who use Wi-Fi for more than 4 days will pay the cost of 720JPY per day, a reasonable price compared to other service options.

After registration, the applicant travelling in a period between October 1, 2017 and December 29, 2017 will be automatically entitled to enter a lucky draw. 256 Lucky travelers will be awarded one of the following prizes; 2 pairs of Business Class round-trip tickets from Vietnam to Japan, 4 new model mobile phones, 50 aircraft models and 200 shopping vouchers from AEON, and will be announced on January 20, 2018. The list of all winners will be published on the event website www.ana-vna.com, and on the official websites of VNA (www.vietnamairlines.com) and ANA (www.ana.co.jp). The winners will also be notified individually by email.

“Hi Japan!” program is a part of the strategic cooperation between VNA, the leading airline in Vietnam and ANA, Japan’s largest and only 5-Star airline. Following ANA HOLDINGS’ (ANA’s parent company) acquisition of an 8.8% stake in Vietnam Airlines in 2016, the two airlines took part in a codeshare partnership that initially covers 10 international routes between Japan and Vietnam, as well as 25 principal domestic routes in both countries, allowing passengers to travel more conveniently thanks to various flight options.

Vietnam Airlines currently operates 156 flights per week on 10 routes between Japan and Vietnam, in which 20 of them are operated by the modern Airbus A350-900XWB and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. ANA operates 21 weekly flights on two routes.
