Hanoi, 20 April 2016, Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific Airlines launched an official ceremony to announce their cooperation in the Lotusmiles program. This program is a part of the strategy to promote the Vietnam Airlines – Jetstar Pacific dual-brand, which aims to diversify products and services, creating more options for passengers, especially the priorities for members of the Lotusmiles program. 
Accordingly, from 15/04/2016, members of Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles program will earn bonus miles when buying flexible ticket Starter Plus or optimal ticket Starter Max by Jetstar Pacific. Accumulated reward miles can be exchanged for reward economy tickets on flights of Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific Airlines or any member airliner of the global alliance SkyTeam. In addition, members can use rewarded miles to upgrade their seats, or exchange for excess baggage, Business lounge invitation or other rewards of the Lotusmiles program.

In 2015, Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific implemented codeshare cooperation on all domestic flights of Jetstar Pacific. 1. Vietnam Airlines
Vietnam Airlines is the driving force in air transportation in Vietnam and Mekong sub-region. Vietnam Airlines – Vietnam’s National Airliner has its headquarters in Hanoi and currently is operating 91 routes to 20 domestic destinations and 29 international destinations with more than 360 flights per day. The airliner operates a young fleet of 89 modern aircrafts, including Boeing 787 Dreamliners, Airbus A350-900 XWB, Boeing 777, Airbus A330 and Airbus A321. On 10/06/2010, Vietnam Airlines officially became a member of the global airline alliance SkyTeam, and is the first representative of the alliance in Southeast Asia.
2. Jetstar Pacific Airlines
Jetstar Pacific is the first low-cost carrier in Vietnam. Jetstar Pacific operates to the principles of Jetstar’s global network, which offers low fare tickets every day to encourage the customers’ access to the air transportation. As a part of its ongoing efforts to provide cheap daily tickets to all passengers, Jetstar Pacific help customers to fly more often, and to create air travel opportunities to those who might not afford it otherwise. 
Jetstar Pacific is currently operating 31 routes to 16 domestic destinations and 6 international destinations. In 2015, Jetstar Pacific opened 11 domestic routes and 5 new international routes, which extended the flight routes to most of the cities and famous tourist attractions in Vietnam. By the end of 2015, JPA had a fleet of 12 aircrafts, including ten A320 and two A321 aircrafts, an increase of 58% over the same period last year; opened 11 domestic routes and 5 new international routes; labor productivity increased approximately by 29%. Total passengers transport since the establishment of the joint venture is 18 million, which means a significant number of customers have been able to enjoy cheap air services.
The two main shareholders of Jetstar Pacific are Vietnam Airlines and Qantas Group (Qantas Airways - Australia). Vietnam Airlines currently holds 70% and Qantas 30% of Jetstar Pacific’s share. Along with the cooperation plan with major shareholder Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific has currently cooperated with Qantas Airways (Australia) to claim bonuses for regular customers of Qantas Airways (QFF) when flying with Jetstar Pacific with Starter Plus and Starter Max tickets. Jetstar Pacific flights can also be connected with other airlines from Jetstar Group to 75 destinations in 16 countries around the world.
In 2015, Jetstar Pacific has been voted as the favorite low-cost airlines through survey with independent clients of Nielsen - a global company providing measurement and market research services.
3. Starter Plus and Starter Max applying the same conditions
Jetstar Pacific has designed two types of tickets with many incentives for passengers. In particular, Starter Plus costs only 300,000 dong more than the usual economy and super cheap promotion; free 20kg checked-in baggage, seat selection and free flight changes including dates, times and names. For Starter Max tickets with flexible conditions, passengers are entitled to 30kg of baggage, free to change flight date, time and passenger name, special seat selection and refundable.
