Right after the incident, the flight’s Captain and Vietnam Airlines operation control center requested local airport’s authorities for ready support and health assistance at landing. Passengers were provided with first aid and other necessary supports by the crew during flight. The plane continued on to Paris made a safe landing.
21 injured were taken to airport clinic for medical check, with 9 later were sent to local hospital and treated. At the time of release, most of the 9 passengers and crew members were discharged from hospital with the rest expected to recover soon. All other passengers were safe and unaffected.
The aircraft is currently grounded for further check and maintenance before return to the country. Vietnam Airlines is proactively cooperating with competent local authorities and insurance partner to complete necessary formalities and to provide further assisstance to passengers.
