Osaka will host the G20 Osaka Summit between June 27 and June 30, 2019, and so many motorways and public highways in the prefecture will be subject to extended traffic restrictions for the duration of this period.

Passengers departing from Kansai airports are kindly asked to travel by rail; as such services are unlikely to be affected by the restrictions, and should come to the airport earlier than usual.

Security measures are also being reinforced at Kansai airports, with policeman at the passenger terminal entrances checking passengers' e-ticket itinerary receipts and other documents indicating they will be flying. Please prepare such documents before coming to the airport. If you do not have an e-ticket itinerary receipt or similar in your possession, check-in may take longer than usual, so please be prepared for this check before entry. Please note that operations of various government aircraft during the period may cause delay to scheduled flights.
