TripCARE Insurance Benefits
For one-way itineraries, passengers can enjoy insurance benefits such as
• Personal accident
• Insurance for travel obstacles such as flight cancellation, delay, loss of baggage or travel documents, delayed baggage, etc.
For round-trip itineraries, passengers can enjoy insurance benefits such as
• Medical expenses due to accident and illness/sickness, emergency medical transportation

TripCARE insurance validity period
TripCARE insurance is effective from the moment the passenger completes check-in and passes through security to begin the journey.
For a one-way trip, coverage ends when the Insured Person arrives at the destination's airport.
For a round-trip journey, the insurance will cease to be effective when:
• The insured person leaves from the arrival airport area of the return leg within Vietnam or after 30 days from the first departure date, whichever comes first or;
• The insured person completes exit procedures from the destination territory to a location outside Vietnam, whichever occurs first.
Passengers can purchase insurance in one of the following ways:
• During the process of purchasing tickets online on Vietnam Airlines' website and app, passengers can select to purchase insurance;
After ticket issuance, passengers can purchase insurance at the section of “Manage Booking” on Vietnam Airlines' website - “Buy ancillaries” - “TripCARE Travel Insurance”.
• Purchase at Vietnam Airlines' sales offices nationwide.
After completing payment, an insurance confirmation email from PVI Insurance will be sent to the passenger.

Flight Exchanges and Insurance Policies
• If a passenger exchanges flights proactively, please contact Vietnam Airlines to update the ticket, then send the new itinerary confirmation to PVI Insurance to adjust the policy via hotline (84-24) 7300 2088 or email bh.support@pvi.com.vn.
• If the flight is changed by Vietnam Airlines and the new schedule differs by more than 3 days from the original schedule, Vietnam Airlines will instruct passengers to contact PVI to adjust the insurance policy accordingly.
Ticket and insurance refunds
• Passengers can submit refund requests by emailing onlinesupport@vietnamairlines.com or visiting the Vietnam Airlines sales office.
• If a refund is requested before the departure date, the passenger will get a refund of the ticket (according to fare rules) as well as a refund of the insurance premium.
• If a refund is requested on or after the departure date, the insurance policy remains in effect and the premium will not be refunded.
Insurance cancellation
• Passengers can request to cancel insurance by contacting PVI before the departure date.
• The insurance premium will be fully refunded within 30–45 working days from the date of cancellation request.
If a passenger has completed the first segment of a round trip and requests a refund for the remaining portion, the insurance premium will not be refunded, and the policy will remain in effect.
When an insurance event occurs, passengers should contact PVI Insurance directly as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days after the date of the event which may result in a claim.
To submit a claim please follow the instructions below:
• Passengers can download the Claim Form or submit a request by email to bh.support@pvi.com.vn.
• If a claim form is provided, the passenger must submit a complete claim file (including the claim form and any supporting documents) to the PVI Insurance Customer Care office in the North, located on the 19th floor of the PVI Building at No. 1, Pham Van Bach Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi City, hotline (84-24) 7300 2088.
After obtaining complete and valid documentation, PVI Insurance will pay compensation within 15 working days.
Passengers are required to have adequate travel documents for all flights on all concerned airlines and to abide by national laws and regulations. Vietnam Airlines does not take responsible if passengers are denied entry into any country.
