With just a few simple actions on the Vietnam Airlines website or app, passengers can easily own a combined plane and train ticket, providing a seamless journey from Milan to Italian domestic destinations. The product not only saves time and money but also enhances the overall experience by providing maximum convenience and flexibility.

Applicable itineraries

Passengers can book up to 09 people in one booking code for travel from Malpensa Airport (Milan) to certain Italian domestic destinations (and vice versa).

Train products

Vietnam Airlines airline tickets (ticket numbers starting with 738) can be combined with train products, such as high-speed trains (Malpensa Express or Leonardo Express) and Trenitalia domestic trains.

Malpensa Express

Passengers arriving/departing from Malpensa Airport will receive a Malpensa Express train ticket. Malpensa Express is a high-speed train service that connects Malpensa Airport to Milano Centrale Station. At the airport, passengers can follow signage to the Malpensa Express train station. The Malpensa Express runs every 30 minutes and takes 52 minutes to reach Milano Centrale station from Malpensa Airport.

Leonardo Express

Passengers arriving/departing from Fiumicino Airport will receive a Leonardo Express train ticket. Leonardo Express is a high-speed train service that connects Fiumicino Airport to Roma Termini Station. At the airport, passengers can follow signage to the Leonardo Express train station. The Leonardo Express runs every 15 minutes and takes 32 minutes to reach Roma Termini station from Fiumicino Airport.

Trenitalia domestic trains

Trenitalia operates Italian domestic train routes, including the Frecciarossa and Frecci-Argento.

Purchase combined plane and train tickets

Step 1: Visit the Vietnam Airlines website at www.vietnamairlines.com

Step 2: Under Find Flight, select:

• From/To: Milan (MXP) and Italian domestic trains 
• Departure/Return date
• Number of passengers

Step 3: Select the flight and train

Step 4: Fill in the passenger information

Step 5: Select seats and additional services and (if any)

Step 6: Payment

After completing payment, passengers will receive an email confirming their itinerary with the booking code for the flight and train segments.

Checking in for train segments

Within 72 hours before the train departure time, passengers visit the website https://check-in.accesrail.com and fill in their full name, an e-ticket number, or Vietnam Airlines booking reference.

After checking in for the train segment, passengers will receive 2 tickets:

• 01 Malpensa Express airport train ticket or Leonar high-speed train ticket;
• 01 Trenitalia domestic train ticket (Freccia-Rossa or Frecci-Argento).

Exchange, Refund

Passengers should refer to Fare Rules when exchanging or refunding plane and train tickets.

In the event of a train segment cancelation (not used, no request for train refund) and no flight exchange, please contact the Contact Center at 19001100 or a Vietnam Airlines sales office for assistance.
