Vietnam Airlines Successfully Hosts Run For Love 2024

On October 12, 2024, the Run For Love 2024 event, organized by Vietnam Airlines, took place with excitement along the West Lake route in Hanoi. The event attracted more than 1,500 athletes, including nearly 300 visually impaired runners.
Entering its third season, Run For Love has become a sporting event that draws a great deal of attention from runners. This year, over 1,500 athletes competed in three categories: 5km, 10km, and 21km, with valuable prizes for both individuals (male/female) and teams.
Mr. Đặng Ngọc Hòa, Chairman of Vietnam Airlines, participated and spoke at the event.
In his opening speech, Mr. Đặng Ngọc Hòa emphasized that Run For Love is not just a sporting activity, but an emotional journey aimed at spreading noble humanitarian values, promoting solidarity, and fostering compassion in the community.
Athletes had a meaningful journey along the beautiful West Lake route during the best autumn days in Hanoi.
The event was even more meaningful as it was held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024). This was not only an opportunity for running enthusiasts to compete but also a practical activity aimed at building a healthy, happy, and civilized community.
Run For Love 2024 became even more significant with the participation of nearly 300 visually impaired athletes, competing in all three distances.
Visually impaired athletes were supported and guided by other athletes throughout the race. This activity reflects the spirit of love, sharing, and solidarity within the community, which Vietnam Airlines aims to convey.
A portion of the proceeds from the race ticket sales will be donated by Vietnam Airlines to the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support those affected by the recent Typhoon No. 3. This has been part of Vietnam Airlines' commitment to serving the community since the very first Run For Love event.
At the end of the race, the organizing committee presented awards to the outstanding male and female athletes in the 5km, 10km, and 21km categories.
With the message “A Thousand Miles of Love,” Vietnam Airlines hopes that, through Run For Love, running enthusiasts will continue to promote good deeds, humanitarian values, and contribute to building a civilized and happy community.
