VND 200 Million Allocated from Vietnam Airlines Compassion Fund to Disadvantaged Students in Vinh Long
Vietnam Airlines has allocated VND 200 million from its Compassion Fund to support the Nhan Thien Scholarship Program in Vinh Long Province, directly benefiting high school students facing exceptional hardship.
Vietnam Airlines Corporation has decided to allocate VND 200 million from its Compassion Fund—managed by the Corporation's Trade Union—to contribute to the Nhan Thien Scholarship Program under the Vinh Long Association for the Support of Poor Patients.
These funds will be utilized to support high school students facing exceptional hardship, helping them stay in school and prepare for the upcoming academic year.
The Vinh Long Association for the Support of Poor Patients is a social organization with 23 years of dedication to social welfare. Alongside its core healthcare support initiatives—such as free heart and eye surgeries for underprivileged individuals—the Association sustains the Nhan Thien Scholarship Program to support diligent students in difficult circumstances, empowering them along their educational journey.
In 2026, following the merger of three provinces, the number of individuals needing support across the region increased. The Association actively mobilized resources from organizations and businesses for social welfare programs, including educational scholarships for students.
Balancing its national budget allocated for social welfare, charitable causes, and disaster relief, the Trade Union of Vietnam Airlines Corporation agreed to contribute VND 200 million to the Nhan Thien Scholarship Program. Funds from the VNA Compassion Fund will be transferred to the receiving agency to disburse the scholarships ahead of the new school year.
Contributing to the Nhan Thien Scholarship Program is one of Vietnam Airlines' annual corporate social responsibility initiatives. Through these educational and social welfare support programs, Vietnam Airlines continues to share the hardships of local communities while fulfilling its corporate responsibility to society.
