Notice on the Increase of the International Tourist Tax for Flights Departing from Japan

From July 01, 2026, the Japanese Government will increase the International Tourist Tax (Tax Code TK) as follows:

- Applicable flights: International flights departing from international airports in Japan.

- Revised tax amount:

• Tax amount before adjustment: JPY 1,000
• Tax amount after adjustment: JPY 3,000

Important Notes:

The revised tax amount will apply to the following cases:

• Tickets purchased on/after July 01, 2026;
• Tickets purchased before July 01, 2026 and exchanged/reissued on/after July 01, 2026.
