Online Check-in

With online check-in, passengers are no longer tired of queuing at the airport. Your experience of flying with Vietnam Airlines has become more convenient than ever.

Online check-in is available on domestic and international flights operated by Vietnam Airlines Group including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and Vasco.

How to check-in online

Passengers with valid tickets and confirmed seats can check-in their flights by accessing Check-in section on Vietnam Airlines’ website or mobile app. The check-in steps are as follows:

  • Step 1: Enter required information including:
    1. Booking reference or frequent flyer card number or e-ticket number;
    2. Passenger's last name;
    3. Departure city.
  • Step 2: Check itinerary information;; 
  • Step 3: Enter passport information (if required by destination country);
  • Step 4: Select seat on flight;
  • Step 5: Receive boarding pass by one of these methods:
    1. Print a boarding pass on A4 paper;
    2. Receive a boarding pass via email or download to mobile.

Check-in time

Passengers check-in online for their flights from 24 hours to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.

At airport

  • For domestic flights, passengers note the following information:
    1. If not having checked baggage, passengers go directly to the security area.
    2. If having checked baggage, passengers go to the baggage check-in counter or check-in counter at the airport.
  • For international flights, whether having checked baggage or not, passengers are required to present their boarding passes and other identification documents at airport check-in counters. Please be at our check-in counters before closing time.

Some notes when proceeding check-in

  • Online check-in is only accepted at certain domestic and international airports. Please find out more information at Airports Accept Online Check-in section.
  • Online check-in is not available for the following passengers:
    1. Passengers requesting special services (except for special meal services).
    2. Passengers traveling with children under the age of two.
    3. Passengers traveling on flights operated by other airlines (except for airlines belonging to Vietnam Airlines Group including Vasco and Pacific Airlines).
  • Check-in can be proceeded each time for a maximum of 9 passengers. If a booking has more than 9 passengers, please check-in online multiple times for passengers in the same booking reference.
  • In case of check-in cancellation, please contact our Customer Care Center at phone number 19001100 or email to onlinesupport@vietnamairlines.com.
  • If there are multiple e-tickets for the same itinerary in the same PNR, please check in at the airport.

Kiosk Check-in

Kiosk Check-in

With kiosk check-in, passengers can actively select their seats, rapidly finish the self check-in process, and obtain their boarding pass there.

How to check-in

Passengers can check-in quickly through the following 5 steps:

  • Step 1: Select the language;

  • Step 2: Enter the booking reference, e-ticket number, or frequent flyer number (if the passengers has provided the membership card number when booking);
  • Step 3: Select the passenger to be checked in;
  • Step 4: Choose a seat on flight;
  • Step 5: Print boarding pass.

Passengers without checked baggages can go directly to immigration/security area after self-checking in. Please check in at the airport's check-in counter or drop-off counter if you have checked baggage.

Check-in time

For domestic flights, kiosk check-in is available between 24 hours and 45 minutes prior to departure, and between 24 hours and 60 minutes prior to departure for international flights.

Passengers are advised to prepare and bring all necessary documents for the entire journey.

Some notes when proceeding check-in

  • Kiosk check-in do not apply to the following passengers:
    1. Passengers traveling with children under the age of two;
    2. Passengers who are banned from flying or need to have their card authentication information checked;
    3. Groups of more than 4 people for domestic flights or booking as group passengers for international flights;
    4. Passengers requesting special services (except for special meal service);
    • The airports that accept kiosk check-in for flights operated by Vietnam Airlines Group (Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Vietnam Airlines) include:
      1. Vietnam
        1. Domestic flights: Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Cam Ranh (Nha Trang), Da Nang (Da Nang City), Noi Bai (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City), Vinh (Vinh).
        2. International flights: Noi Bai (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City).
      2. Japan: Fukuoka (Fukuoka), Kansai (Osaka), Narita (Tokyo), Haneda (Tokyo).
      3. Germany: Frankfurt (Frankfurt).
      4. England: London Heathrow (London).

Telephone Check-in

TELEPHONE CHECK-IN

The most notable benefit of telephone check-in service is the ability to check in with only one call. There will be more time for passengers to get ready for the upcoming thrilling excursion.

Telephone check-in services apply to domestic flights leaving from Tan Son Nhat Airport  (Ho Chi Minh City) or Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) and operated by Vietnam Airlines Group (Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Vietnam Airlines).

How to check-in

Passengers can easily check in with just 4 steps:

  • Step 1: Call our hotline 1900 6265 between 8:00 am - 8:00 pm daily and provide reservation code, ticket number, or frequent flyer card number;
  • Step 2: Confirm itinerary information;
  • Step 3: Select seats on the flight;
  • Step 4: Choose to receive your boarding pass via email or receive it directly at the airport check-in counter.

Check-in time

Phone check-in needs to be done between 12 and 02 hours before the scheduled departure time.

At airport

Passengers note the following requirements:

  • If not having any checked baggage, passengers go directly to the security area.
  • If having checked baggage, passengers go to the baggage check-in counter or check-in counter at the airport.

Some notes when proceeding check-in

  • Passengers who require special services such as unaccompanied minor, stretcher/oxygen tank service, etc. Please check in at the airport.
  • Call fee: VND 5,000/minute.

Documents to prepare

Before approaching the check-in counter, passengers are encouraged to prepare their tickets and identity documents. Please refer to Travel Documents section for more details.

Check-in time

    Check-in time varies from domestic to international flights operated by Vietnam Airlines:
  • Check-in time for domestic flights is from 02 hours to 40 minutes before departure time.
  • Check-in time for international flights is from 03 hours to 50 minutes before departure time. However, check-in counters for Vietnam Airlines flights at Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), Frankfurt Airport (FRA), and Heathrow Airport (LHR) will close 60 minutes before to departure time.

Check-in for cooperation flights

Customers should check in at the operator's counter if they purchase tickets under code-share agreement between Vietnam Airlines and another carrier, in which the other carrier operates the flight. Passengers should carefully review the information on their tickets and the operator's website to determine the precise opening and closing time of the check-in counters.

Some notes when proceeding check-in

• In case of scheduled change, the check-in counter's opening and closing time will be changed accordingly.
• In order to complete the flight processes, passengers are advised to arrive at the airport in time.
• After the check-in counter closes, baggages are not accepted and passengers are refused to board.
