The Flight Back to the Time of Fire and Glory

Accompanying them on this meaningful journey back to revisit old battlefields on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025), we captured their special emotions throughout the trip.

Major General Vũ Viết Cam, former Deputy Director General of the General Department II – Ministry of National Defense (during the Hồ Chí Minh Campaign, he was Deputy Commander of Regiment 174, Division 5, Military Region 7), shared that he had visited Ho Chi Minh City several times to revisit his old unit, with the most recent trip in late 2021. However, this journey held special significance for him as it coincided with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
