Free ticket refund privilege

(Effective from July 06, 2026)

The free ticket refund offer on the day of issuance gives passengers more peace of mind when purchasing tickets on the Vietnam Airlines’ Website and App. In the event of accidentally entering the wrong departure date or time, or booking the wrong flight direction, passengers will receive a free refund for their ticket and any additional services. This provides the flexibility to adjust travel plans without incurring additional fees due to unintentional booking errors.

Applicable conditions

  • Applies to passengers who purchase tickets on the Vietnam Airlines website/app for flights operated by Vietnam Airlines Group.
  • Selecting the wrong departure time, month, and date or wrong flight direction (for example: Hanoi to Saigon instead of Saigon to Hanoi).
  • Refund request must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (local time at the point of sale) and include information of the newly replacement ticket purchased on website Vietnam Airlines on the same day of the original ticket based on local time at point of sale.
  • The replacement ticket has the exact same number of passengers and passenger names as the original ticket.
  • The replacement ticket has the same origin and destination, except in cases of selecting wrong flight direction.
  • The free refund is limited to one time per booking code;
  • All tickets must be unused, and the refund request must cover all tickets and any additional services (if applicable) included in the booking.

  • Repurchase an additional service of the same type, which is not required to have the same characteristics or value as the originally purchased service.

Passengers can contact the Contact Center at 19001100 (for calls from within Vietnam) and (+84-24) 38320320 (for calls from outside Vietnam), or send an email to onlinesupport@vietnamairlines.com for ticket refund assistance.
