1. History and Architecture of Russian Market HCMC
The Russian Market HCMC was established over 20 years ago to cater to the growing Russian community in Vietnam. Initially, it was a small trade hub offering winter clothing and a few Russian-imported items. Over time, it expanded into a specialized market, offering a wide range of Eastern European goods and attracting not just Russians but also locals and other international visitors. Unlike Chinatown Ho Chi Minh, which is deeply rooted in Chinese culture with its traditional markets, food, and religious practices, the Russian Market in Ho Chi Minh City is more oriented towards international goods and caters largely to tourists.
