In particular, in 2023, Vietnam Airlines effectively implemented outstanding CSR activities that showcased its brand by connecting and mobilizing resources from LotuSmiles members to bring many valuable contributions to the community and society. With a total of 6.71 million miles donated (equivalent to approximately 4.1 billion VND), Vietnam Airlines successfully completed highly commendable humanitarian goals, including performing 180 complex surgeries for craniofacial and ocular diseases in collaboration with Facing The World, bringing 1,100 smiles with Operation Smile, and screening over 73,000 children for heart defects with VinaCapital Foundation (just in 2023 alone).

Among these activities, the free heart defect screening conducted by the VinaCapital Foundation took place in remote areas, helping disadvantaged children who had not been diagnosed with heart disease. After screening, those identified with heart defects received free heart surgery sponsored by the organization. In 2023, thanks to the ongoing support from LotuSmiles members in mobilizing miles donations, Vietnam Airlines supported a total of 9 screening projects throughout the year with VinaCapital Foundation.
