Earn miles easily when flying with Vietnam Airlines and enjoy a wide range of offers.

How Can You Earn Miles?

Whether you are flying on Vietnam Airlines, SkyTeam partner airlines or purchasing on your Vietnam Airlines' co-brand credit cards, you can earn miles with us! To enjoy appealing privileges, passengers can refer to information on using miles and register for Lotusmiles membership with Vietnam Airlines.

There are two types of miles you can earn with Lotusmiles:

  • Qualifying miles: Used to determine the membership tier in each qualifying period.
  • Bonus miles: Can be used to redeem rewards from the Lotusmiles program such as air tickets, seat upgrades, baggage, etc. See more detailed information at mile redemption.

Members can refer to the flight mileage accrual chart/qualifying routes for Vietnam domestic flights and the flight mileage accrual chart/qualifying routes for international flights.

Ways to Earn Your Miles

Flying with Vietnam Airlines and Partner Airlines: Member accounts will be credited with both qualifying and bonus miles after flight completion. The eligible mile-earning flights are:

  • Vietnam Airlines flights (VN-numbered and operated by Vietnam Airlines): Eligible for earning qualifying miles/segments and bonus miles.
  • VN-numbered international flights operated by SkyTeam Alliance airlines: Eligible for earning qualifying miles/segments and bonus miles.
  • VN-numbered flights operated by Pacific Airlines (BL), VASCO (0V), Cambodia Angkor Air (K6): Eligible for earning qualifying miles/segments and bonus miles.
  • VN-numbered flights operated by All Nippon Airways (NH), China Southern (CZ), Cathay Pacific (CX), Philippines Airlines (PR), Bangkok Airways (PG), Finnair (AY), and EL AL Israel Airlines (LY): Eligible for earning bonus miles only.

Using Partner Services: Members can earn bonus miles when using services provided by Vietnam Airlines' partners:

  • Earn bonus miles with co-branded credit cards from Vietnam Airlines and major banks by making purchases;
  • Earn bonus miles by booking hotels through Booking.com or Kaligo;
  • Earn bonus miles by using MobiFone services, purchasing MIC insurance, shopping with other Vietnam Airlines partners, etc.

When Will Miles Credited To My Account?

Earned miles will be automatically credited to the member's account:

  • Within a maximum of 3 days after completing a Vietnam Airlines flight;
  • Within a maximum of 7 days after completing a flight with a partner airline;
  • Within 6 to 8 weeks after using services from other partners.

Note: Award tickets, tickets for infants under 2 years old, agent discount tickets, and other types of discount tickets are not eligible to earn miles. Fare types that do not qualify for earning qualifying miles will also be ineligible for earning qualifying routes.

Validity of Miles

Miles earned are redeemable within a specific time frame from the date they are credited. After this period, any unused miles will expire and can no longer be redeemed.

  • Bonus miles: Valid for 3 years from the month they are credited to your account. For Million Milers, bonus miles are valid for 5 years.
  • Qualifying miles/segments: Valid for up to 13 months from the month they are credited.

How To Check My Miles?

Members can check their earned miles by logging into their account on Vietnam Airlines' website or app.

On the website

  • Step 1: Visit the vietnamairlines.com website
  • Step 2: Log in to your member account via the toolbar in the top right corner
  • Step 3: After logging in, your bonus miles, qualifying period, qualifying miles, and qualifying flights will be displayed under the "Account Information" section.

On the Vietnam Airlines app

  • Step 1: Access your member account and navigate to the "Lotusmiles" section
  • Step 2: In "Account Information," select "Membership Card Information"
  • Step 3: Your bonus miles, qualifying period, qualifying miles, and qualifying segments will be shown in the "Account Information" section.

Notes

  • The name on the ticket must match the name on the passport/ID and the name registered in the Lotusmiles system.
  • Provide your membership card number when making reservations or using Lotusmiles non-airline partners' services.
  • Present your membership card when checking in for flights.
  • Members receive monthly email updates about their account and can access account information through the website or app.
