Statement Regarding Flight VN34 on August 15, 2026

On August 15, flight VN34 from Munich, Germany, to Hanoi returned to Munich Airport for technical reasons after takeoff.

The flight crew followed the necessary procedures and landed the aircraft safely. All passengers and crew members are safe.

Vietnam Airlines immediately arranged alternative travel for passengers to continue their journeys on Vietnam Airlines and other airlines. While awaiting their onward flights, passengers were provided with accommodation, meals and ground transportation.

Vietnam Airlines is coordinating with the relevant authorities and related parties to determine the cause of the event.
